Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent fiber from damage and irregular winding to improve coefficient of extension in taking up yarn of polyamide fiber for example by reducing traverse speed from the beginning to the completion of taking up a package within a specific range.
CONSTITUTION: In a friction drive system taking-up method wherein a friction roller 2, traverse device 3 and bobbin holder 4 are disposed parallel to each other, traverse speed is reduced on the way from the beginning to the completion of taking up a package within the range satisfying the following formulas: 1,00220≤ΔL≤1.00544...(1), Tw/4≤Tt≤Tw/2...(2) and nt≤Tw/4...(3), where ΔL; multiplying factor of extension, Tt; time until deceleration point, Tw; taking-up time, n; number of taking-up spindles, t; time required for changing over package.
