Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the sliding motor driven tool capable of producing a favorable and efficient processing pattern like a hair line by a method wherein a reaction generated due to a tangetial component force of the grinding force applied on the hand of the worker pressing the motor driven tool against a work is offset. CONSTITUTION:A rotary member 10 having different widths in the axial direction is fixed to the portion of a rotary shaft 12 extending between a pair of inclined plates 8 and 8' and two pairs of upper and lower thrust bearings 9 and 9' are interposed between the rotary member 10 and the plate 8 and between the rotary member 10 and the plate 8', respectively, so tha the rotary member 10 is rotated with the rotary shaft 12 coupled to a motor 1. When the rotary member 10 is rotated, the inclined plates 8 and 8' make linear oscillations repeatedly through spherical bearings 11 and 11', respectively, with the upper and lower sections of each of the plates oscillating, in opposite directions and as a result, rods 13 and 13' which are in contact with the inclined plates 8 and 8' are operated and slide plates 4 and 4' having sand papers 5 and 5' fixed thereto, respectively, are forced to make linear motions in opposite directions by the rods 13 and 13' through spherical bearings 14 and 14'.
