Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a desired cutting-in force with a simplified structure by utillizing a centrifugal force applied to a cutting tool by the rotation of a holder for chamfering the inner surface of the pipe material such as a steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:The cutting tool 2 is journalled by the tool holder 1 displaceably through a shaft member 3 on the axial line A...A of the holder 1. The center of gravity G of the tool 2 is eccentric with respect to the axial line A...A. A cutting edge 2a is formed at the end on the side of eccentricity of the tool 2. On the side opposed to the center of gravity G of the tool 2 with respect to the axial line A...A, there is formed a hole 4 into which a resilient member 5 is housed. A change in the centrifugal force caused by the displacement of the tool 2 due to the eccentricity of the inner surface of the steel pipe 10 to be worked is absorbed and compensated by the resilient member 5. Thus, a desired cutting-in force can be obtained by a remarkably simplified structure.
