Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the circumferential and the axial positioning of a discharge working electrode accurately, by fixing an electrode fixing collet having the tapered outer face on a holder provided with a tapered hole and making said tapered face such that the collet will not rotate. CONSTITUTION:The dischage work electrode 5 is fitted in a collet 7 having the tapered outer faces 8, 9. The collet 7 is fixed while contacting the tapered outer faces 8, 9 tightly against the tapered hole 4 in a holder 2. The polygon such as the regular square is employed for the tapered hole 4 and the tapered outer faces 8, 9 for the purpose to prevent the rotation of the collet 7. The through- hole 12 for the holder 2 and the through-hole 13 for the collet 7 are matched and inserted with an eccentric rotary shaft 11, and when rotating the eccentric rotary shaft by means of a lever 14 at one end, the collet 7 is pushed up and fixed tightly to the holder 2. When rotating said shaft 11 reversely, the collet is loosened and removed.
