Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an evil effect of dropwise condensation which affects the optical system in a copier, by installing a dropwise condensation device at a path of open air intake port of a cooling fan. CONSTITUTION:A dropwise condensation device which contains metallic fans 16 around a metallic 13 and an air current deflecting plate 14 or a cylinder 15 is provided at an open air lead-in path 12 of a cooling fan 1 of a copier. As a result, the moisture of the open air led into the copier is condensed into the dropwise to lower the humidity of the cooled air which hits an optical system including a contact galss 3, mirrors 4, 5 and 7, a lens 6, etc. Thus the occurrence of the dropwise condensation causing trouble can be prevented to the component parts of the optical system.
