Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the winding of a superconductive winding as well as to prevent cracking of impregnated resin by a method wherein a space is inserted for every fixed number of turns of a superconductive winding and in each space a fibre composite whose thermal contraction is small is arranged and impregnated resin is set. CONSTITUTION:A coil former 25 is equipped with a centre guide 25B and intermediate guides 25C and 25D around a cylindrical body 25A, and guides 25C and 25D are divided into many pieces in the direction of turn to form spacing parts 25E. A superconductive winding is first wound up, along the centre guide 25B and the coil former 25, to form a saddle shape with absorption of length difference by guides 25C and 25D. In spacing parts 25E, a fibre composition spacer whose thermal contraction coefficient is smaller than that of the impregnated resin during winding or after completion of winding is inserted. After completion of winding of the super-conductive winding, resin is impregnated and set, and then a saddle-shaped field winding is removed from the coil former. With this construction, winding of super-conductive wires becomes easier and also cracking of the impregnated resin can be avoided.
