Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit stable steering in response to a vehicle speed and a lateral wind by converting the steering force of a steering wheel to electric signals and controlling the steering oil pressure with this signals, vehicle signals, lateral wind signals, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A bypass oil path 105 interconnects a pressurized oil supply line 102 for supplying pressurized oil from a hydraulic pump 100 to an inlet port 41 of a control valve unit 101 and a drain line 104 for returning oil from a drain port 42 of the control valve unit 101 to an oil reservoir 103. In this bypass oil path is inserted an oil pressure controlling valve 106 which is controlled by a solenoid 107 to raise or lower oil pressure of control valve unit 101. Steering signals from the valve unit 101, signals from vehicle speed detector 109 and lateral wind signals are applied to the input of a control electronic circuit 108 so that the solenoid 107 of the oil pressure control valve 106 is controlled and thereby oil pressure sent to the actuator valve unit is controlled.
