Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize the infuence of changes in the kind, arrangement, etc., of a repeat key upon hardware by adding commands sent from a CPU and small-scale hardwaring for realize them. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU sends a repeat permission signal (RG)1, a flip-flop (FF)12 is set. Then, a counter 14 starts counting up. When the output (a) of the counter 14 goes up to a ''1'', the output of an AND OR gate 15 goes down to a ''0'' and when a key is still pressed at this time, an FF11 is reset. When the CPU generates an RG2, the same operation are performed. As the FF11 is reset, scanning operation is restarted and when the key is still pressed at this time, the FF11 is set to interrupt the CPU. Since FFs 12 and 13 are both reset when the FF11 is reset, the CPU when to utilize a repeating function successively reads data by interruption and then generates the RGs 1 and 2 again.
