Abstract

PURPOSE:To lock a reception frequency to an upper or lower-limit value through PLL operation when the reception frequency increases above the upper-limit value or decreases below the lower-limit value, by storing the upper-limit or lower-limit value of a reception band in a storing circuit in an automatic sweeping device. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic sweep mode is set with a switch 32 and an up key 33 is pushed, a sweep control circuit 16 generates a sweep signal with a control signal from a control circuit 17, and a voltage generating means 10 elevates a DC tuning voltage VT to make a going-up sweep. Meanwhile, a local oscillation frequency is counted by a counter 18 through a prescaler 19 and mixed with an intermediate frequency by a frequency converting circuit 27 to be converted into a reception frequency. Even if an S curve signal is not acquired even after the reception frequency reaches the upper-limit or lower-limit value of a reception band stored in a storing circuit 29 during the sweeping operation, it is locked first to the upper limit value through PLL operation and then to the lower-limit value of the reception band and the sweeping channel selection is restarted to stop the sweeping operation with the output of an S comparator 14.
