PURPOSE:To improve the channel selection precision and storage precision of a variable tuner where a couple of magnetic cores are projected from and drawn in both terminals of a single coil body, by specifying the turning range of a restraint plate storing a tuning point and the turning range of the turning piece of both ends of traversing plate. CONSTITUTION:A channel selection member 1 which has a couple of collision parts 4 and 4' and is provided with a restraint plate 5 storing a tuning point, and traversing plates 16a and 16b which are provided with turning pieces 17 and 18 and move relatively are arranged on a frame crossing mutually at right angles. The traversing plates 16 and 16b colliding against the restraint plate 5 move relatively and their extents of traverses are transferred to a variable tuning element 28. The center position of the range of turning of the restraint plate 5 in this constitution is set in a region counter in the slanting direction of a colliding slanting edge among regions sectioned by horizontal and a vertical line which pass through the center point of rotation of the restraint plate and extend in movement directions of the traversing plates 16a and 16b.
