Abstract
PURPOSE: A methylchloroform composition that contains, as a stabilizer, a sulfosuccinic dialkyl ester or its metal salt, thus showing high stability to iron, copper and zinc.
CONSTITUTION: A sulfosuccinic dialkyl ester of the formula (R, R' are aliphatic hydrocarbon) or its metal salt such a sulfosuccinic di-2-ethylhexyl ester is added, preferably by more than 0.001g per 100ml of methylchloroform to give the objective stabilized chloroform composition. The resultant composition has high anticorrosive property to iron, copper, zinc or the like, thus being suitably used as a solvent for washing metal products for defatting, further dry cleaning solution, solvent-type paint, adhesive or aerosol.
