Abstract

PURPOSE: A coating composition that contains condensed phosphate salt, thus forming coating films with improved adhesion to metal substrates.
CONSTITUTION: A hard soluble condensed phosphate salt (the water content is about 0.01W5% measured according to JIS-K5101), such as pyrophosphate, polyphosphate, or tetrametaphosphate, is added to a coating, thus forming said coating composition. The above condensed phosphate is, e.g., preferably aluminum tripolyphosphate.
