Abstract

PURPOSE:To record and reproduce satisfactorily and also to simplify a manufacturing process, by providing a crystallized guide bit on the same track as a recording track of a recording medium containing an amorphous magnetic film. CONSTITUTION:On a glass or plastic disk, for instance, a GdDyFe compound thin film 2 being an amorphous magnetic material is formed, on which an SiO2 protective film 3 is formed.
