Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a magnetic noise, and to obtain the satisfactory reproduction, by connecting a magnetic detecting part and a lead wire part in series, forming them in one body simultaneously by use of a material having the same quality by a thin film deposition method, and placing a lead wire so as to have two parts by which direction of currents meet at right angles with each other. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing a magnetic resistance effect type (MR) reproduction head, an MR element is constituted so that it is symmetrical, has a shape bent at right angles, a horizontal part of its one end is made to a magnetic detecting part 13 and has a continuous lead wire part such as a rising part 14 on both the end parts a horizontal part 15 being parallel to the detecting part 13, also a rising part 16, a horizontal part 17 and a rising part 18. The rising parts 14, 16 and 18 are varied in the direction of a current at right angles with the horizontal parts 15, 17. Moreover, the rising part 14 and the horizontal part 15 are made equal in length. The detecting part 13 and the lead wire parts 14-18 are formed by use of the same Ni-Co alloy, etc. and by means of film formation of once and photolithography of once. In this way, it is possible to obtain a head which is excellent in S/N ratio without being infulenced by a noise caused by a magnetic field from a motor, an electric power supply transformer, etc.
