Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a driver in a car running in the opposite direction from being dazzled by the after-glow of head lamps, by providing a delay circuit for drivably retractable head lamps retracted in the upper side direction a certain time after releasing passing. CONSTITUTION:When a lighting switch 22 is in OFF position and a dimmer switch 23 in HF position, head lamps 15, 16 are exposed and lit after the exposure. Then when the switch 23 is returned to HL position, a head lamp relay 6 and dimmer relay 13 are deenergized to turn off the lamps. Transistors Tr1, Tr2 and Tr3 are turned off by discharge of a capacitor C3 after a certain time to demagnetize a relay 21 which closes its contact T21 to start retractor motors M1, M2 for retracting the lamps. Thus, the after-glow rays of the head lamps do not irradiate a car running in the opposite direction to dazzle a driver in the car.
