Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the folding and bundling operation of laver sheets efficiently, by holding 10 quires of doubled 10 laver sheets on a holding apparatus, and drawing out the quires onto a receiving trough.
CONSTITUTION: Laver sheets 3 carried in by a conveyor 1 are dropped onto a base plate 15 of an accumulating position. On accumulating 10 sheets, a pushing plate 16 pushes the quire of the laver sheets by the command of a counter, and a pushing plate 40 is lowered to double the quire of the laver sheets. The doubled quire of the laver sheets is then dropped from a folding hole 17 to the gap between holding plates 48 of an accumulating and holding apparatus 42. The holding plates 48 are fixed to chains 47 and is advanced by one pitch. At the accumulation of 10 quires each of doubled 10 laver sheets, a limit switch 63 is pushed by the doubled 10 laver sheets 56 to operate a drawing out apparatus 62 and draw out the 10 quires of the laver sheets onto a receiving trough.
