Abstract

PURPOSE: To let the captioned molding be effected automatically with good efficiency with simple constitution by pushing a metal piece between the rolls which are being pressure-contacted mutually opposedly to round the metal piece, inserting the resultant cylindrical body onto the holder on a rotating index and pushing a cap onto one end of the cylindrical body.

CONSTITUTION: Molding metal plates such as for patrones are held stacked on the plane part 111' of a guide rail 111 and are led to the portion of a stationary roller 113, sheet by sheet, through the spacing between the rail 111 and separator 112. Then, a planetary roll 114 revolves while rotating and pressing the plate around the roll 113, thereby coiling and rounding the plate around the roll 113 and forming the same to a cylindrical body. Then, the roll 113 retreates in a holding machine 124 up to the chain line position 115 and the cylindrical body rides on a catching arm 116 and is then fed into a holder 118. The index 117 rotates clockwise to a position 118' where the cylindrical body is inspected and in the position 118" it is fitted with a cap by a pusher 122. In the position 118"' the finished product is dropped onto a conveyor 123, by which it is conveyed.
