Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable an inexpensive angle detector of a comaprison type to be used, by adding a holder, which holds the constant position relation among mutually rotatable arms, to a polar coordinates type three-dimensional coordinates measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:A table 4 rotating around a vertical shaft A is fitted atop of the 1st arm 3 stood upright on the top surface of an operation table 1, and the one end of the 2nd arm 5 is provided on a shaft B provided on a rotation table at right angles to the shaft A; and so on, the 3rd arm 6 and a detection arm 7 are fitted successively, and a probe 8 is further fitted atop. Then, a holder 16 is fitted and when the detection arm 7 meets it by a prescribed system, only one relation among the respective arms is available. For example, in the holder 16 is so formed that the projection point P of the detection arm shaft upon the shaft A, and the coupling points B, D and F of the arms form a rectangle, and on the basis of said state, angles at respective coupling points are meaured. Thus, the measurement of coordinates is performed with high precision.
