Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of abnormal sound accompanied by torque fluctuation in such a way that a means which urges in outer direction of the contour a coupling sleeve which is fitted in front and rear clutch gears is installed on an auxiliary speed change gear which transmits power through the coupling sleeve to front and rear wheels.
CONSTITUTION: When four wheels is driven, a ball 42 and a abutting member 45 are respectively urged to compression springs 41, 44 by urging means 38, 39 which are installed on first and second clutch gears 28, 34, which are protruded inward a groove 37a of a coupling sleeve 11, come into sliding contact with lateral sides of spline 37, and urges the coupling sleeve 11 in outer direction of the contour. Thus, the coupling sleeve 11 undergoes repulsive force, the spline 37 near the urging means 38, 39 becomes buoyant condition, the other spline 37 is led to come into contact with the lateral sides of gears 29, 35 or grooves 30, 36, and even if torque fluctuation is produced to front and rear driving shafts 31, 27, and said repulsive force absorbs it, so that abnormal noise due to interference of the spline can be prevented.
