Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible that a calling subscriber and a called subscriber speak with each other when they cannot speak because of line busy, by calling at an optional designated time from the call designating device of a terminal equipment to transmit the number of the called subscriber to the exchange and by calling the called subscriber after confirming the answer. CONSTITUTION:When a calling subscriber 1 dials the number of a called subscriber, it is transmitted to a terminal equipment 2, and the terminal equipment 2 enters into the connection operation to the called subscriber 6 through an exchange device 5 and stores the number of the called subscriber in a temporary storage memory 3. If the calling subscriber 1 and the called subscriber 6 cannot speak with each other, the calling subscriber 1 sets a call start time to a call designating device 4 and hooks on the handset. When the terminal equipment 2 receives connection designated time information from the call designating device 4, the designated time and the time of an internal clock are compared with each other; and at the call start time, the terminal equipment 2 reads out the telephone number in the temporary storage memory 3 and transmits it to the exchange device 5. When the called subscriber 6 answers, the telephone number in the memory 3 is erased, and the ringing tone is transmitted to the calling subscriber 1, and when the calling subscriber answers, speech is possible.
