Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a sub-micron particle easily and certainly by a method wherein a friction chargeable substance is blown into a waste gas and the sub-micron particle is adhered to and aggregated on a surface of the friction chargeable substance.
CONSTITUTION: A waste gas generated in an apparatus 1 such as a garbage incinerator or the like is introduced into a crude particle collecting cyclone 2 and dust or the like with a particle size of several microns or more is removed therein. Subsequently, the waste gas is introducing into an adhering and aggregating tank 3 and a friction chargeable substance 6 in a supply tank 5 and air coverying the same are injected in said tank 3 from a nozzle 4. In the adhering and aggregating tank 3, a sub-micron particle in the waste gas is collided, adhered and aggregated to the friction charegable substance 6. The obtained charged particle adhering and aggregating the sub-micron particle is entered into a scrubber 8 and separated from a gas phase and, after the sub-micron particle is dissolved and released therefrom by washing, entered into a separation tank 9 and the friction chargeable substance 6 is floated and separated and, after dried in a drying tank 10, supplied to a supply tank 5 to be recirculated and reused. Further, washing water and a sludge in the separation tank 9 is treated by a waste water treating system.
