PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in S/N of the reproduction signal with simple constitution by providing regenerative amplifiers, control circuits for changeover of modes, etc., an electric power source power generating circuit, etc. to a rotary cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An electric power source power generating circuit 31 including a power generating coil 26 opposite to a power generating stator magnet 25, regenerative amplifiers 7, 8, etc. are provided to a rotary cylinder 21 secured with rotary heads 2, 3. Further, a phototransistor 3 coupling to a control signal generating circuit 34, an A/D converter 33 and a control circuit for changeover of recording and reproducing modes, and heads formed of transistors 35-37, etc. are also provided to the cylinder 21. Hence, the heads 2, 3 and the amplifiers 7, 8 are disposed in proximity, and the noises collected by short conductors are decreased. In addition, floating capacity decreases and the windings of the heads 2, 3 can be increased. The rotary transformer applied with regenerative amplifier outputs is made to low impedance, and the collected noises do not increase despite the increase in the length of the secondary side conductors, thus the decrease in the S/N of the reproduction signal is prevented with the simple constitution.
