Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a rotor precisely and to cool a curved face of the rotor effectively, by uniting into one body with a shaft of the rotor a cylinder-shaped lobe member made of a super-plastic material provided with a hollow inside and making a curved surface of a screw of the lobe member to be small in thickness. CONSTITUTION:As an inner face of a boss 19a of a lobe member 19 will invade notched holes 22a, 22b of a lobe shaft portion 18C through a super-plastic flow, the lobe member 19 may be united with a shaft 18 of a rotor into one body. Then, when gas within a hollow 20 of the lobe member 19 is exhausted so as to lower its temperature to the room temperature, the boss 19a and the lobe shaft portion 18c are pressed tightly to each other as heat shrinkage of the boss 19a of the lobe member 19 is greater than that of the lobe shaft portion 18c. In this case, a curved face of a screw of the lobe member 19 has been made thin, thereby it may be cooled effectively.
