Abstract
PURPOSE:To make simple and highly accurate measurement of average liquid temps. in a tank possible by mounting temp. measuring elements along folding type water discharge pipes provided in the tank for the purpose of discharging water on a floating roof. CONSTITUTION:A thermometer body is mounted to a floating roof near the upper rotary joint of a folding type water discharge pipe provided in a tank for the purpose of discharging water on the floating roof and a temp. measuring element is contained in a protecting pipe of flexible and sealed construction mounted through the roof along the above-mentioned discharge pipe. For example, a protecting pipe 12 of flexible and sealed construction is mounted by having allowances along a discharge pipeline of a folding type consisting of discharge water pipes 14, 19, 20, 15 and rotary joint 16, 18, 17 for the purpose of discharging the water on the floating roof of the tank 1, and a temp. measuring element is contained thereon and is connected to the body mounted on the roof, whereby the position of the temp. measuring element is changed automatically in accordance with liquid levels and the detection of average liquid temps. is made possible.
