Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a precision track curvature surface with a slight rate of ironing by ironing the track curvature surface with the bulged part of a punch and flowing the part to be removed by the ironing into the clearance between the track surface of a blank material and the punch. CONSTITUTION:When a forging blank material 7 for outer race is positioned and set on a punch 10, and a die 11 is lowered by a press slide, the die fits to the material 7 and the punch 10. When the die 11 is lowered in this state, the material 7 receives ironing effect from the outer side by the die 11, and is restrained from the inner side so as to conform to the contoured shape formed by the punch 10, by which it is formed to an intended shape; at the same time, lateral sectional wall thickness and inner depth are made into prescribed sizes. The groove of the product obtained in the above-mentioned manner has the dimensional accuracy equivalent to the working accuracy by grinding.
