Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a spring seat and the cost of its material, by performing bending to provide erected coupling sections on the central part of the spring seat and erected spring guides in optional positions. CONSTITUTION:A disc 12 is prepared as a material for a spring seat. Bending is performed to provide erected coupling sections 14 around the central hole 13 of the disc 12. Other bending is effected to provide reinforcing ribs 15 on sections for connection between the coupling sections 14 and support surface 17 of the disc 12. Cutting and bending are effected to provide erected spring guides 16 near the periphery of the disc 12. Since the weight of the spring seat is that of the material disc itself, the weight andthe cost of the material are reduced.
