Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce fuel consumption of a magnet engine by burying coil magnets above and below of a cylinder, burying permanent magnets at the top and bottom of a piston and suitably varying the polarity of the coil magnet, thereby aiding the elevational movements of the piston.
CONSTITUTION: A flat permanent magnet 11 and a ring-shaped permanent magnet 12 are respectively buried under the top of a piston 2 and under the peripherl lower end of the piston. Coil magnets 13, 14 are respectively arranged on the upper surface of the chamber of a cylinder 1 and on the inner surface of the chamber of the flange 15 of an opening. When the engine is operating, the surfaces of the permanent magnets 11, 12 are N-poles. Then, a current is flowed through the coil B of the magnet 14 to become S-pole, aiding the downward movement of the piston 2 reaching the vicinity of the bottom dead point by the attraction of the magnets 12, 14. Subsequently, the current of the coil B is reversed at the stage that the piston 2 reaches the bottom dead point, thereb aiding the upward movement of the piston 2 by the repelling of the magnets 12, 14. Thereafter, the coil A of the magnet 13 is similarly controlled in the vicinity of the top dead point.
