PURPOSE:To perform not only an exposure operation in a short time but to eliminate the waste of the photographic paper caused by misoperation, by securing an automatically find-out of the exposure reference value by previously supplyng an input to an external recording means of a CPU. CONSTITUTION:A test exposure using a reference negative is previously supplied to an external means 6 of a CPU5 according to a prescribed procedure. Thus a density component voltage generating circuit 7 pushes a density key D(-3) at the 1st test exposure and according to D(-3), Y(N), M(N) and C(N) respectively. Then resistances DR1-DR4 formed by a combination among corresponding switches DS1- DS4 are connected to the input of an amplifier 9. Thus the density component voltage VD corresponding to a density key(-3) is produced at the output of the amplifier 9 based on the relation between the voltage E0 and a resistance R2. Also the voltage VY, VM and VC which are used as the exposure standards are produced to be compared with the exposure reference for the yellow key Y(i), magenta key M(i) and cyanogen key C(i) respectively.
