Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect intrusion surely without receiving the influence of the waves reflected from surrounding objects by discriminating successively whether the reflected waves are received or not after a prescribed time since the transmission of ultrasonic pulses of every constant time. CONSTITUTION:By the command of a control part 10, a transmitter 1 is operated at every constant time to transmit ultrasonic pulses successively at every constant time from an antenna 4 toward a target. When it comes to just before the prescribed time t after the transmission of each ultrasonic pulse, a gate circuit 7 opens by a constant time. If a receiver 5 has received the reflected wave when the time t elapse since the transmission of each ultrasonic wave pulse, that received reflected value is the wave reflected from the target, and a target pulse is supplied from a differential amplifier 9 to the part 10. Now when, for example, a human body passes between the antenna 4 and the target, the ultrasonic pulses transmitted at the time do not arrive at the target any longer, and no more target pulses are supplied to the part 10. Thereby, the presence or absence of the reflected waves by the target is detected and the intrusion is detected by the results of the discrimination thereof.
