Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the shape and area of a light irradiating zone to be set freely and to always make it into a thin size by a method wherein a plurality of cylindrical mirror elements with a flat section are arranged in parallel so that their respective surfaces can continue with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The space of the inner part is divided by partition walls 3 into cooling spaces 4 extending in a longitudinal direction and the whole body makes a mirror surface composed of surfaces 2A of beltlike, flat and square-tubular mirror elements 1. A plurality of the mirror elements 1 are connected in the width directon to make a mirror M so that said surfaces 2A may continue sequentially and a plurality of light source lamps 12 are held on the side of mirror surfaces of the mirror M. Inlets 6 of cooling air are penetrated at both ends in the length direction on the surface plates 5A of the mirror elements 1 corresponding to each of the cooling spaces 4, outlets 7 of cooling air are penetrated on the back plate 5B in the middle in the length direction and there is provided an air passage 8 to supply cooling air which extends in the width direction on one side and the other of a plurality of mirror elements 1.
