Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable improvement in the positioning accuracy and the working efficiency at the insertion of light emitting elements and light detecting elements in a position detecting enclosure by successively providing a plurality of those in which these two elements are inserted at a position opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of enclosures in which light emitting elements and light detecting elements are inserted at the positions opposite to each other are successively provided to manufacutre. For example, bottom surface sections of adjacent enclosures are successively arranged with a joint section 4 which is equal in the material and made so thin to be cut easily and insertion cylinder blocks 2a and 2b are mounted respectively for the light emitting elements and the light detecting elements each having a slit section 3 thereon. This eliminates the need for paying attentions to ensure that all the enclosures are arranged at respective pitches while the insertion cylinders are aligned. Thus, easier working in the insertion of individual elements enables improvement in the positioning accuracy and the working efficiency in the insertion thereof.
