Abstract

PURPOSE:To extract periodic components from an input signal and to eliminate the periodic noise, by controlling a filter having a comb-teeth characteristic, which is operated as a band pass or stop filter, by the input signal. CONSTITUTION:A periodic signal is applied to a terminal 1. One is given to a band pass filter 3, and the other is given to a filter 8 having a comb-teeth characteristic. The fundamental frequency or one of higher harmonics at most is taken out by the pass band width of the band pass filter 3. Signal components taken out by the band pass filter 3 are converted to a voltage proportional to the frequency by a frequency-voltage converter 4 and is applied to a voltage control oscillator 6 and is converted to a frequency proportional to the voltage. This frequency is divided by a clock signal generator and becomes a driving signal for the filter 8. Consequently, the characteristic of the filter 8 is changed in accordance with the input signal to extract a periodic signal and eliminate a periodic noise.
