Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily change operation frequency in a short time by providing both a cavity resonator and a tuning mechanism and a detection element which converts the number of revolutions of the turning screw into electrical signals. CONSTITUTION:A support body 4 with a plunger 5 is provided in a cavity resonator 3 consisting of cavity enclosure 1 and a drift tube 2. By moving the support body 4 through a tuner support body 8 by means of the revolution of a tuning screw 11, the volume of the cavity resonator 3 is changed and the resonance frequency is modified. Besides, a potentiometer 15 is connected to the tuning screw 11 via spur gears 17 and 17 and the voltage which corresponds to the number of revolutions of the tuning screw 11 is removed from between the terminals B and C. As a result, by specifying the voltage of the terminals B and C and revolving the tuning screw 11 so as to obtain the voltage which corresponds to the desired frequency during the frequency change, the frequency can be adjusted very easily.
