When the turning force becomes nearly equal to the stylus for to be applied, a stylus-tip lowering end signal is outputted from a comparator 11 and while the control signal A is ceased, a control signal B is applied to a switch 9 to stop the control of the turning speed of the arm 2, thereby applying the stylus force which corresponds to the 2nd reference voltage. This constitution performs smooth transition.
