Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify constitution by using one DC motor and by applying this motor with a continuous voltage for high-speed movement and with a pulsating voltage for low-speed movement.
CONSTITUTION: For low-speed movement in reproduction mode, forward or backward switches 103 or 104 is operated, and consequently motor 13 moves pickup arm 7 forward or backward only when monostable multivibrator 102 generates an output voltage. To move pickup arm 7 rapidly, the power voltage is applied to NAND gate 107 and AND gate 108 via OR gate 105 with switch S1 ON and the rapid movement comes into effect corresponding to the operation of forward or backward switch 103 or 104. Therefore, a driver which needs to move its pickup arm at greatly-different speeds requires only one DC motor, so that the constitution will be simplified.
