Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a measurement without being affected by CO2 in the atmosphere, by a method wherein pure water or water, which is treated in a balancing manner with CO2 in the atmosphere by causing CO2 to be previously absorbed in water containing a nonconductive organic solvent soluble in pure water, is produced into water for measuring a conduction degree. CONSTITUTION:CO2, being dispersed through an organization from, for example, blood, is collected at a skin (T) surface. A retainer 3 for a diaphragm 8, having a O- ring 4, is placed at a flange part 3a in a cylindrical casing 2, made of a heat transfering material, equipped with a thermostatic band 1 for heating an electrode. A concavity 7, wherein an electrode liquid S is poured, is formed in an electrode carrier 6, made of an insulating substance, supporting a pair of platinum electrodes 5, and the electrode liquid S is held by surrounding the concavity 7 with a carbon acid gas penetrating film 8. The electrode liquid S is pure water or a treated water of pH2-7 which balances with CO2 in the atmosphere by causing CO2 to be previously absorbed in water containing a nonconductive organic solvent, which is soluble in pure water, such as propanol, ethylenglycol, glycerine. A ratio conduction degree of said treated water, however, is set as a zero cardinal point, and CO2 partial pressure is measured with a ratio conduction degree of a balancing absorption water absorbing the CO2.
