Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the detection of chlorine ion concentration by measuring hydrogen chloride in the exhaust gas employing the pH buffer reagent or ion exchange solution free of neutral salt or the like dissolved as absorption liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas to be measured is the concentration of hydrogen chloride and the demineralized water for absorbing hydrogen chloride in the exhaust gas and coexisting gas. The concentration of hydrogen chloride in the absorption liquid absorbing hydrogen chloride and coexisting gas in the deioning solution is measured with the measuring device 13. After the measurement of the concentration of hydrogen chloride, the absorption liquid undergoes deionization with the regenerator 20. The demineralized water thus obtained is supplied to absorb hydrogen chloride and coexisting gas in the exhaust gas.
