Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled tape with stable electrical characteristics effective for a highvoltage cable, which is obtd. by compounding a polar polymer of high dielectric constant with a plasticizer of low volume resistivity, titanium doxide, a vulcanizer, etc. and molding the resulting compound into a thin board, which is then vulcanized by heating.
CONSTITUTION: At least one polar polymer selected from among a chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, chloroprene and nitrile-butadiene rubber each having a dielectric constant ≥5, is compounded with a plasticizer of volume resistivity ≤1011Ω-cm2, titanium dioxide and/or barium titanate, 5W40pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. base bolymer, tackifier, and an effective amt. of vulcanizer such as dibenzothiazyl sulfide. The resulting composition bonding a dielectric constant≤10 and volume resistivity 107W1012Ω-cm is molded into a thin board, which is then vulcanizer by heating to prepare the titled tape.
