Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply stabilized electric power by a method wherein surplus natural power is stored in a flywheel as energy, and when natural power is weakened, stored energy is taken out from the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:When a windmill 1 is rotated by wind power, a rotating machine 2 is rotated to generate AC output. AC output thereof is converted into DC electric power by an electric power converter 3, and after it is converted into DC power by an electric power converter 4, it is supplied to an electric power system 5. A rotating machine 7 is driven by surplus electric power of the electric power converter 3, and the flywheel 8 is driven therewith. When with power is weakened, the rotating machine 7 is made to operate as a generator, and the rotating machine 7 is made to rotate by stored energy of the flywheel 8. AC output of the rotating machine 7 is converted into DC output by an electric power converter 6, and after it is converted into AC output by the electric power converte 4, it is supplied to the electric power system 5.
