Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent loosening of the binding string for the subject stator winding as well as to contrive economical usage of binding material and to cut down the binding time by a method wherein the coil-end section of the stator winding is tied up at every prescribed interval using a string of thermoplastic resin and the knot is fixed by solvent welding. CONSTITUTION:The coil-end section of the stator winding 2 wound on a stator core is tied up at every prescribed interval independently with the binding string 3 of thermoplastic resin. Then, each of the knots 4 is heated and fixed by solvent welding independently. Through these procedures the loosening of a knot of the tied string 3 hardly affects to other knots as compared with the method wherein the binding is continously performed using a binding string, and also the productivity is improved, because a device exclusively used for the binding can be used.
