Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent whitening of the film and mixing of bubbles by drying a film of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponified matter upon producing the same by a solution applying process or a casting process. CONSTITUTION:A solution of an alcohol-water mixture solvent of an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer sapanified matter (ethylene content; about 15-55mol%, and saponification degree of vinyl acetate component; about 90mol% or more) is applied on a supporter and dried at a temperature of about 0-45 deg.C until (i) the loss of the mixture solvent of the applied layer becomes 0.5-30wt% by weight under a substantially windless condition, and (ii) dried at a temperature above about 50 deg.C under a blasting condition to form a film (thickness of about 17mu or more). Furthermore, as the above alcohol-water mixture solvent, is preferable one satisfying a relationship shown in the formula, wherein SP represents a solubility parameter of the solvent, and E represents the ethylene content within the above saponified matter.
