Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily execute various adjustments without requiring a measuring instrument, by generating a signal corresponding to contents of adjustment when a copying operation mode has been switched to an adjustment operation mode, and displaying a result of adjustment by said signal. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a means for switching a regular copying operation mode and an adjustment operation mode in case of adjustment, also a signal corresponding to contents of the adjustment is generated in case when it has been switched to the adjustment mode, and the adjustment operation is executed by use of this signal, so that its result is dieplayed. For instance, a controlling circuit containing a microprocessor 35 as shown in the figure is provided. In this way, when said means has been switched to the adjustment mode by a prescribed key operation, an optimum maximum conducting angle for controlling a phase angle of a fixing heater 49 is adjusted by the controlling circuit itself, so that its result is displayed by utilizing a copy sheet number indicator 7.
