Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform accurate measurement by using lithium salts as a tracer material in adding the tracer material to the upper stream side of waste water, detecting the concn. of the tracer material on the down stream side and measuring the fluid state of the waste water. CONSTITUTION:In measuring the fluid state of waste water by a tracer method, lithium salts such as lighium chloride and lithium nitrides are used as a tracer material, and a constant amt. thereof is added to the upper stream side of the waste water. It is sampled on the down stream side of the waste water, and the concn. of the lithium salt is measured by a flame method, an atomic abosrption method, etc., whereby the fluid state of the waste water is measured. Since lithium salts are hardly contained usually in waste water, the influence of background upon the measured values is obviated, and since lithium salts can be sufficiently detected with low concns., the fluid state of the waste water is accurately known.
