PURPOSE:To decrease abnormal sound at low frequencies, to increase input resistance performance and to reduce IM distortion, by connecting a high pass filter in series with a speaker unit, in a speaker system performing reproduction with high fidelity at a low sound level. CONSTITUTION:A speaker unit 9 performing high fidelity reproduction at a low sound level is formed on a cabinet 1 through the provision of a diaphragm 2. The diaphragm 2 is made of high polymer film of 25mum thickness and formed with an edge 2a to one body and a voice coil 5 wounded aluminum wire of 70mum size at 20-30ohms is added. A frame 7 having a hole 8 for compliance adjustment is provided with a rare-earth system cobalt magnet 5 and a yoke 6 to form a magnetic circuit. Abnormal sound at low frequencies can be reduced by connecting an HPF10 to such a unit 9, the input resistance performance can be increased and the IM distortion can be reduced. Since the minimum resonant frequency of the unit 9 is at about 350Hz, the HPF10 can be constituted with a capacitor only or a capacitor plus coil only.
