Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve a freedom of selecting a pressure resisting pulsation damping resonance frequency by fixing a cylinder with its one end closed inside a power transmitting fluid pipe in such a manner that its open end is oriented toward the upper side of a fluid to trap a part of the fluid along with a gas in the cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A gas trap accumulator 1 is formed in the shape of a cylinder 4 whose one end is closed and other end is opened as an inlet opening 3. The accumulator 1 is settled by fixing a flange member 7 with fluid openings 6 therein to the inner wall of a fluid pipe 2. When a pulsated fluid flows through the fluid pipe 2, the most runs from the inlet opening 3 into the cylinder 4 and the reset passes through the fluid openings 6 into the pipe 2. The fluid 4 inside the cylinder 4 compresses the air in a gas space 8. This compression and an inflow of the fluid make up a vibration system, thereby damping a pulsation. Such constitution as mentioned above may reduce a size and improve a pressure resistance and a freedom of selecting a damping resonance frequency on the basis of a choice of a length of the cylinder.
