Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a misshift to reverse as well as shorten a select stroke at a switching from/to advance to/from reverse by providing a shift position of reverse independently next to the first speed and the second speed on the opposite side of a shift direction for the fifth speed.
CONSTITUTION: An advance shifter arm 5 and a reverse shifter arm 6 of a shifter shaft 4 are arranged connectably with grooves 1a, 2a, 3a provided at rear ends of shift rails 1, 2, 3. Stoppers 7 and 8, for checking reverse and the fifth speed, are also provided on both sides of the shift rails. Further, an operational arm 10 which operates the fifth speed and an accent mechanism 9 for reverse accent is projecting from the sides of the shifter arms 5 and 6. A fecess 16 is formed in the middle of an accent shaft 13 of the accent mechanism 9 so as to put the shaft 13 in a vertical motion only in case of the fifth speed and the reverse shift.
