Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a rigid line for trolley, which has low weight, good working properties and small voltage drop and is laid on the ceiling of a long tunnel or the like by fitting a member having a U-shaped cross section and made of a metal containing iron as the main constituent, on the top of a rail-shaped main body made of aluminum.
CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing, an aluminum-made main body 1 is first extruded to a rail form so that horizontal fins 3 are protruded from both the sides of the top 2 of the body 1. A member 4 having U-shaped cross section and made of a metal containing iron as the main consituent is fitted on the top 2. A plurality of holes 6 are appropriately openend through the vertical parts of the member 4 so that the vertical parts 5 can follow up the deformation of the rail-shaped main body 1 when it is bent. The fins 3 are bent upward and tightly fitted on the main body 1, thereby completing a rigid line for a trolley. Since the main body 1 is made of aluminum, the rigid trolley line is light and has good working properties and small voltage drop.
