Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent troubles such as disconnection and short-circuit of busses, by pairing adjacent charge transfer units for time delay integration and by arranging charge transfer electrodes of the same order or respective units commonly. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer device B consists of plural charge transfer units U1 and U2 for time delay integration, and units U1 and U2 consists of input parts 1a''-1d'' and 2a''-2d'' different in delay time respectively and are connected to photodetectors 1a-1d and 2a-2d. Adjacent units U1 and U2 are paired. Charge transfer electrodes of the same order of respective charge transfer electrodes 511- 531, 611-631, 711-731, and 811-831 are connected to driving busses 51-53 commondly and are led out. Thus, the length of respective charge transfer electrodes in the lateral direction becomes twice. Consequently, the arrangement space for busses 51-53 becomes twice, and busses 51-53 are arranged easily. Therefore, troubles such as disconnection and short-circuit of busses are prevented.
