Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled film excellent in oxygen and vapor barrier properties and useful for a food package or the like by a method wherein a PVA type film is laminated to one surface of a high density PE film preliminarily oriented to a longitudinal and a traverse directions and resultant laminated film is simultaneously oriented to a biaxial direction.
CONSTITUTION: To one surface of a high density PE film preliminarly oriented by preliminarily orienting to a uniaxial direction or a biaxial direction in such a range that a residual elongation degree is 300% or more in a longitudinal and a traverse directions, a PVA type film is laminated. The obtained laminated film is simultaneously oriented to a biaxial direction at a degree of 500% or more of an area orientation magnification to obtain a biaxially oriented composite film. The resultant film has usuful property as a barrier material for packing a food by combining the high density PE film and the PVA type film excellent in vapor barrier property and gas barrier property respectively and, further imparting orientation effect suitable for respective polymers to said respective polymers.
