Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled head slider which is inexpensive and excellent in the negative pressure generating efficiency, by forming the flow-in end of inversely tapered or inversely stepped negative pressure generating face from the position of the end of tapered or stepped section of the positive pressure generationg face. CONSTITUTION:This negative pressure slider is formed with sections 1b consisting the positive pressure generating face, and a negative pressure generating face 2b whose flow-in end is formed from the end of a tapered section at the left hand side of the diagram by extremely shortening the length of the tapered section. Therefore, the negative pressure generating face 2b becomes an inversely stepped face having a tapered section at the front. When such inversely stepped face is used, an extremely excellent negative pressure generating efficiency per unit area can be expected when compared with other negative pressure sliders proposed so far.
